Hello and a very warm welcome to the Ladies Section.
I’m Cath Bell and I’m absolutely delighted to be taking on the role of Lady Captain this year. I feel incredibly honoured to represent such a wonderful group of women who share a passion for golf, friendship, and fun.
Our Ladies Section is all about a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment where every lady, whether new to golf or an experienced player, can enjoy their time on the course.
Upchurch ladies is for all who are keen to improve their game, participate in friendly competitions, or simply enjoy a relaxed round with some lovely company.
Throughout my year as Lady Captain, my hope is to continue building on this strong sense of community and to encourage even more women to join us. Whether you’ve been thinking about taking up golf (or maybe one of James Brooker’s Academy members) or are already an established player, there’s always room for more ladies to come along and get involved. I’d love to see our section grow and thrive, and I’ll do everything I can to ensure that all members feel welcome and supported.
Alan and I have chosen The Wisdom Hospice, Rochester as our joint charity for this year. The Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients with a terminal diagnosis or who’s illness has become life-limiting. This care can be in the Hospice itself or in the patient’s own home. It has a personal meaning to us both and I’m sure to many others at the club. I hope we will have lots of support throughout the year for this charity
